Sleep facing the wall: the approach is on foot, helmet resting on the breakfast table.
From the terrace of the house, you can see it: the wall of the Baus de la Frema dominates the Valdeblore plateau. That's the luxury of this via ferrata — no car, no logistics: lace your shoes, walk to the start, and the day begins.
The equipped route climbs high above the plateau, with everything the discipline promises: rungs, cable, airy passages and the valley unrolling below. Commitment builds progressively — you take the measure of the wall section by section — but full equipment is mandatory: harness, energy-absorbing lanyards, helmet. Rental is available in the valley if you don't travel with your own gear.
In summer, start early: the face takes the sun and afternoon storms don't give much notice. Tomorrow's weather is discussed every evening at the dinner table — we'll tell you frankly whether it's a cable day or a larch-forest day.
Want more? The Lantosque via ferrata, in the lower Vésubie, rounds off the stay naturally: two atmospheres, one valley — and the same dinner waiting on your return.
