Road tips

Mountains reward the prepared

In winter, snow equipment is mandatory on the road (winter tyres or chains — French « loi Montagne »): the road is cleared, but we are at 1,300 m.

Fill up in the valley before climbing; petrol stations are scarce above Plan-du-Var.

GPS can be moody in the valleys: when in doubt, aim for « Saint-Dalmas, Valdeblore » — and call us, we'll guide you in.

Plan your stay

A warm place is waiting

At the crossroads of the GR5 and GR52, at 1,300 m — half board, table d'hôtes dinners and a locked bike room.
