Gîte les Marmottes (Saint-Dalmas, 06420 Valdeblore, France) is the controller of the processing described below. We collect very little — and only to welcome you.

What we collect, and why

• Booking request: identity, contact details (email, phone), stay dates and party details. Purpose: handling your request, replying and managing your booking (performance of the contract). This information is essential.
• Deposit payment: the payment is processed by our secure payment provider — no card number is ever entered or stored on this website. We only receive the payment confirmation.
• Contact form: name, email, optional phone number and message. Purpose: replying to you (legitimate interest).
• Technical logs: IP address and server events, for website security (anti-abuse) and technical diagnostics.

What we do not do

• No advertising cookies, no trackers, no third-party analytics.
• No resale or transfer of your data for commercial purposes.

The only cookies set are strictly technical (form protection, admin area session) — they are exempt from consent requirements.

Retention periods

Bookings are kept for the duration of the commercial relationship, then archived according to legal and accounting obligations. Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle them. Technical logs are kept for one year at most.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection regarding your data. To exercise them: info@gite-marmottes.fr or by post to the guesthouse. You may also lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr).
